HomeProof Privacy Policy

HomeProof is a local-first home-inventory application. HomeProof does not require an account and does not automatically upload inventory records, photographs, receipts, or property details to a developer server.

Information stored on your device

When you use HomeProof, you may enter a property name, item names, rooms, categories, values, serial numbers, purchase dates, notes, photographs, and receipts. These records are stored in the application's private local storage on your Android device.

Photos and receipts

You may choose an image with Android Photo Picker or capture one with the system camera. HomeProof copies selected evidence into application-private storage so it remains available to the related item record. HomeProof resizes imported images and removes image metadata during import where supported. The application does not request broad shared-storage access.

Export, import, and sharing

HomeProof creates a backup only after you request an export. It creates a PDF only after you request a report. Android's document picker, print service, or share sheet may then send a file to an application you choose. The receiving application controls its own handling of that file.

Deletion

You can use Delete All Data in Settings to remove the local property, items, photographs, receipts, generated records, and preferences managed by HomeProof. Uninstalling the application may also remove its private local files. Export a backup first if you need a recoverable copy.

Advertising and consent

HomeProof uses Google Mobile Ads to show inline banner advertisements and occasional full-screen interstitial advertisements at natural breaks after a completed task. Before requesting ads, HomeProof uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to determine whether a consent message or privacy-options entry point is required for your region.

Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share IP address, user product interactions such as app launches or ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID. Google describes these uses as advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Exact ad behavior and available privacy choices can vary by location, device settings, consent choice, and ad availability.

When required, you can reopen Google's ad privacy choices from HomeProof Settings. You can also reset or delete the Android advertising ID through Android system settings.

HomeProof does not send your property name, inventory records, notes, photographs, receipts, backups, or generated PDF reports to Google Mobile Ads. The application has no account, payment, cloud synchronization, or developer-operated upload of those records, and it does not include a separate product analytics service.

Children's privacy

HomeProof is a general home-inventory tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date will be revised.
