Privacy Policy for Lawn Care Business Manager

Lawn Care Business Manager is a local-first Android app for solo lawn-care businesses and small crews. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores or processes when you use it.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the business information you enter, including your business name and reminder preference, customers, properties, addresses, manually entered coordinates, services, jobs, recurring schedules, checklist items, route order, invoices, invoice lines, and payments. This information is stored locally on your device in the app's database and preferences. The app does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync.

Maps and OpenStreetMap

The route planner uses MapLibre with raster map tiles from OpenStreetMap's public tile service. To display the map, the device requests tiles for the selected map area; the tile service may receive normal network information such as the device IP address and the requested tile coordinates. The app does not send customer names, job details, payment information, or invoice data to OpenStreetMap. The app uses manually entered property coordinates and does not request GPS access or perform background location tracking.

Advertising and consent

The free version may display inline banner and interstitial advertisements using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. When ads are available, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as an advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, approximate location inferred from network information, diagnostics, ad interaction data, and consent status as described in Google's policies. The app does not sell your customer, property, job, payment, invoice, or route data to advertisers.

Where required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and record your consent choices before requesting personalized ads. You can review available advertising privacy choices from Business settings > Privacy choices in the app. Ads may be unavailable when consent is required but has not been granted.

Backups, PDF exports, and sharing

If you create a JSON backup, export an invoice PDF, or share a file, Android lets you choose the destination or receiving app. The app creates these files locally and does not upload them to an app-operated server. Treat any exported file as containing the information you chose to include.

Notifications and navigation

If you enable job reminders, the app schedules local reminders through Android. It requests notification permission only when needed on supported Android versions. When you choose turn-by-turn navigation, the app opens the installed navigation app with the selected destination; that third-party app's privacy policy applies.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or replace the data through the app's restore flow. Backups, PDFs, or other files exported outside the app may have separate retention controls provided by Android or the destination you selected.

Third-party services

The app uses OpenStreetMap map tiles, Google Mobile Ads and consent services, Android system sharing, and any navigation app you choose to open. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use those services. The app does not use accounts, analytics, a payment gateway, a customer portal, or a remote customer database.

Children

Lawn Care Business Manager is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is published.
